Building and keeping positive relationships can make us generally happier, and help us to become inspired. We are at our happiest when we connect with other people. Even the introverts who like spending time alone and are not usually excited about social occasions are happier when they connect with somebody. Having positive people in our lives helps us to know and understand ourselves better. Our friendships are among the most valuable relationships we have because when we feel that we have someone’s support, we feel motivated to reach for more, and our perception of challenges actually change. It’s very empowering to have supportive and encouraging people in our lives, and in order to attract the right kind of people, we must keep in mind that the more positive energy we give off, the more positive connections we’ll attract to our lives, and the same principle also applies for negativity: Love attracts love. Anger attracts anger. Passion attracts passion.

One of the reasons that positive connections are so important is the fact that they can offer us support and encouragement during our bad times. Having positive people around you is priceless and offer you something that can’t be found in material possessions. When it comes to healthy an positive relationships, quality is more important than quantity. It’s not the quantity of your relationships, but the quality that matters. Just one positive and supportive friend can make a big impact in your emotional wellbeing. Having someone around you who values your company, makes you feel wanted, special, and boosts your confidence and self esteem can be life changing.

When it comes to making positive connections, you should keep in mind that kindness is contagious. So, open yourself up to new friendships and welcome opportunities for growth. An act or even a thought of kindness can make a really great impact in your life: it creates a contagious effect, as kindness blesses the one who gives, and it also blesses the one who receives it. Remember that any relationship in life is a two way street: before you can expect someone to like and trust you, you need to know your values and love yourself, so you can show someone else that you are trustworthy. Reciprocity is a component of maintaining positive relationships: a friend is the most valuable thing you can have, and the best thing you can be.

Ask yourself if the way you communicate and behave are resulting in positive relationships with friends, colleagues, family and clients, or if you are attracting the opposite to your life. If it seems like you’re always crossing wires and failing to connect with the people in your life, you need to look at the way you are communicating and presenting yourself to others. If you are emitting negativity, you will not be able to attract and build good relationships that will help you grow as a person. Positive connections in life is vital to your emotional health because you can gain in various ways from different relationships as your friends are people that you select based on shared values, ideals, experiences, interests and beliefs. They will be in your most precious memories, and represent different stages of your journey. Showing appreciation for others is a wonderful way to make a powerful connection and improve your overall feeling of positivity. Remember that your thoughts create your beliefs and your beliefs create your attitudes. If your thoughts are constantly negative, they will attract other people that are in the same frequency. Increasing your positivity will help you build positive social connections and give you the power to change any negative situation. Negative thinkers are usually unhopeful, irritable and difficult to be around.

Be aware of the vibes you are emitting and keep an optimistic perspective, because you belong to an universe of attraction and energy. Remember that it’s impossible to make positive connections when we are not connected with ourselves, so work on connecting to your own soul and using your own resources, before you can find others that will be loyal and honest with you. Learn to enjoy positive experiences, and to express gratitude and appreciation often. Positive connections don’t take a lot of time to build. They can start with regular small acts of kindness, and these small gestures usually pay big dividends.
