We all yearn for inner peace in our lives and it seems the more we try, the more we fail and then the more we beat ourselves up about it, inner peace is not about what you do, its about what you don’t do!

Inner peace is a state of mind that allows you to be at peace whilst still have the strength to deal with the daily ups and downs of life, in a dignified and positive way.  Its always a contented state of mind and is proven to be good for your health, along with your relationships and  your abilities to deal with any kind of crisis.

Along with meditation and prayer inner peace comes from letting go and self belief. So an easy place to start your journey to inner peace is look at you reactions and emotions. Change your thinking ‘he always makes me so mad’ or ‘being around her makes me feel depressed’ is giving them the power over your inner peace. Start thinking about your emotion – do you have to get mad when he is around or do you really have to allow her sadness to affect you. Both a re a choice you have made and to get inner peace you can change your choice.

Its sounds easy but it is not and it takes time and practice – keep a journal of your emotions and reactions, practice deep breathing and pausing before reacting and remember you can control your reaction.
