Positive Affirmations

January 22, 2018

Life truly stems from our thoughts. Sometimes it could be a real challenge to accept ourselves, our lives, or to change the reality that we live. If we are unhappy with the way we live our lives, affirmations can help to purify our thoughts and restructure the dynamic of our brains so that we truly begin to think nothing is impossible. Affirmations can help us to accept ourselves and to believe that we are able to change. This is because change is built on a foundation of self affirmations and self-acceptance. All the negative aspects about ourselves, that we spend time thinking about, tend to persist if we don’t substitute them with good thoughts. When we don’t fight against our demons, they become stronger.

We need to allow ourselves a quiet period before we can blossom. Embracing change starts with paying attention to our thoughts, memories, feelings, and bodily sensations. Learning to accept what cannot be changed is essential in order to experience inner peace. Being open to a new perspective is the best way to see things in life differently, and have an easier time when re-evaluating our lives. Old habits never disappear unless they are replaced with new habits. If you are finding it difficult to cultivate a more positive attitude, affirmations can be the way for you to believe in the potential of an action you desire to manifest.

The practice of reading and telling ourselves positive phrases allows us to increase our confidence and reach a stage, where we can change and improve certain situations that we thought that we could do nothing about before. It brings us an opportunity to start fresh, to consider all possibilities. We usually refuse to to step out of our comfort zones because we get attached to old habits and negative thoughts, but we need to keep in mind that only when we embrace positivity we can be successful. Different choices can bring us fulfilment and happiness.
Write down or read positive affirmations daily. Here are some examples:

-I find joy and pleasure in the most simple things in life.
-I am love. I am good. I was made with divine intention.
-I feel joy and contentment in this moment right now.
-Every day in every way, I am becoming more and more successful.
-I don’t sweat the small stuff.
-I feed my spirit. I train my body. I focus my mind.
-I awaken in the morning feeling happy and enthusiastic about life.
-Mistakes and setbacks are stepping stones to my success because I learn from them.
-I am a problem solver. I focus on solutions and always find the best solution.
-I love change and easily adjust myself to new situations.
-I am in charge of how I feel and today I am choosing happiness.

Work on being open minded and let go of judgement. If we are highly judgmental, we will easily reject ourselves and other people. Self improvement is motivated by the possibility of knowing your true essence, including your flaws, allowing you to have greater compassion, both for others and also for yourself.

Look at past mistakes as opportunities for learning, healing and growth. Think about past negative events in your life in a way that you know that they do not define you. Use self affirmations to help you to trust your own abilities to achieve success and confidence. Being confident is possible through self knowledge. Introducing this little habit of reading positive affirmations to yourself can give you a sense of direction, that will stop you from feeling lost and unhappy, because you will be constantly reminding yourself of your values, and about what you want in life. It is time to silence the constant critical inner voice which reminds you of your inadequacies, and to accept that you are good enough.
