Making Better Decision’s

September 7, 2019

When you need to make a decision in life, it’s important to approach the situation from as many perspectives as possible and then choose a course of action, in order to recognise the opportunities that will lead you to your desired outcome. Good decisions are the key to success. It can be tempting to come up with a good excuse to avoid taking action (we can become lazy in our decision making or paralysed), but it’s necessary to overcome those anxious feelings, and stop feeding our fears in order to take control and make the right decision. It’s important to keep in mind that the sooner you start working to fix the problem, the easier it will be to fix it.

The feeling of not being able to make a decision can make you feel worried and anxious. Self confidence is really important during the decision making process. Surround yourself with people who can help you to overcome your fears and reach your potential. If you have a lot of problems to deal with, you need to prioritise things. Figure out what is more important to you, and focus on making that happen. Always take things one step at a time.

It may be difficult to deal with your problems because of the uncertainty of how things will turn out, but you have to be positive and confident when trying to sort things out. Remember that even in times of crisis, you still have the resources available to you in order to identify the best solution to the situation. Stay calm, because uncontrolled emotions can impact your ability to make a logical decision. When you focus on being calm and living in the moment, you are able to do some planning that will likely lead to important changes.

Imagining making a decision from a different viewpoint can provide you with a new perspective. Learn to recognise when it’s time to let go of what you can’t change, and do not rush into anything. Take your time to analyse all the facts during the decision making process. When you take a break, you allow your mind to be refreshed for when you re-approach the problem later.

Regretting past decisions takes away the energy you could be using to solve the problems you have in the present moment. Focus on moving forward, and remember that the past is in the past. We all need to make a decision to put ourselves in the right path in life. If you keep a positive attitude and stay positive, you will be able to put your problems in perspective, be proud of your choices, and you’ll make it through any obstacles your way.
