So many people feel unhappy or dissatisfied with their lives because they think that they have no control over their lives or what happens in it. When you feel that you have little or no control, you stop doing things that could improve your situation, you start feeling helplessness, and you don’t feel motivated to do the activities you used to enjoy. Do you know someone who thinks that no matter what they do, they’ll never be in the right relationship, because they experienced several bad relationships? or maybe they they themselves that they will always lose any people they become attached to? If you are the one who feels helplessness and trapped, because you have this feeling of having no control, or no available options in a situation, you don’t need to feel this way. I may not know what you are going through right now, but I can affirm that you can break this pattern, and increase your number of total available responses in a given situation, and so increase your feeling of control.
In order to feel in control you need to be aware of your power and take responsibility. Remember that only you can change the things in your life that you are not happy about. The truth is you have full control of your life. Avoid blaming others and the world for the bad things that happen to you. You are in control of your life, and you hold all of the power. Make use of this power that you have and take the lead, start making choices that will bring happiness into your life. Prioritise your own happiness and give less value to what other people think of you. You need to keep in mind that other people are outside your control, and if you are always worrying about other people views and about your own image, you are not living freely. You can’t please everyone, and if you live your life trying to please others, you will feel trapped, alienated and disappointed. You can’t let other people’s views dictate how you will live your life. You will be unhappy if you try to be what everyone else wants you to be, and you will lose your freedom. You will always feel that you have no other option to live your life.
Your perspective determines the way you see the world, so make sure you’re adopting a positive outlook in life. Your mind has the power to make you see life negatively, and it also has the power to make you feel motivated to do better. Happiness begins in your thought process: if you change your perspective, your world will also change. There is an unique energy inside you, that brings up all these feelings of happiness and accomplishment, and allows you to cultivate an aura of positivity and light. When you are positive and hopeful, you are able to trust the Higher Power to lead you to the right path. You start to see things from a different point of view, and you allow God to bless you with powerful insights in order to change your current situation. If you feel helplessness, go to a quiet place and ask for spiritual guidance. Remember that in order to take control of your life, you must be in control of your thoughts. Be aware of your own thoughts, replace negative and toxic thoughts for positive affirmations, and you will notice both your mindset and your life changing and improving.
Learn to love and respect yourself. Respect your body and your own values. Dedicate some time to know yourself and to do what makes you happy. Everything that happens in your life, all the obstacles that you have to overcome, and all the setbacks that you may have in your way, are part of your journey to success. Maybe you feel trapped by your job, relationship, or your financial circumstances. In reality your fears are making you feel this way. Fear wants you to be trapped in the clutches of the weakness that it represents. You need to realise that all this toxic emotions that are making you feel helplessness are afraid of your authentic self, simply because they’ll be eliminated by it. You may be hesitating to break out of your sense of entrapment because of fear of the unknown. Your ego is constantly telling you to continue feeling trapped and passive, but a big part of having self-respect is being able to be brave to leave your comfort zone. Don’t put your own life on hold, have faith and start to expect the best. Remember that you are free to live your life to its fullest and you deserve to be happy.
