Change You Life

May 27, 2016

Changing everything about our lives all at once is not realistic, but there are lots of small changes we can make to improve our physical, emotional, and mental well-being, and to enjoy our lives more. If you are craving a life change, you need to consider what you’d like to accomplish in life, and the vibe you want to carry. If we truly want to create our destiny, we need to take care of ourselves physically, spiritually and emotionally. We need to let go of our fears and our self-limiting beliefs. When we believe in our potential, we start to create our own destiny.
Are you ready for a positive change? If your answer is yes, take some time to assess your current physical well being. Think about the quality of your diet and your level of physical fitness. Consider what you can do in order to improve this area of your life, grab a pen and paper, and establish goals as: mindful eating, daily physical exercise, avoiding smoking, cut excessive alcohol consumption. Your mental well being is directly related to how well nourished and supported your body is, so observe your current diet and how well it serves your health. Keep in mind that staying active is much easier if you find an activity that you genuinely enjoy. Now, think about what changes or improvements you would like to see to your mental state, and make a list of the emotions you often experience. If they are mostly negative, you need to improve your self talk. Negative self talk leads to negative thinking, so dedicate some time to know yourself and how complex you are. This step is not just about avoiding negative emotions, it is about finding genuine self-acceptance, and understanding that you are always learning and evolving spiritually. In order to be happy you need to be able to find meaning, hope, comfort, and inner peace in your life, so consider what is holding you back right now. Ask yourself what is causing you pain in your everyday life. There may be some specific situations happening in your life that are contributing to your poor mood. No matter what is keeping you stuck right now, you can truly transform the way you live your life for the better by focusing on building up your talents and strengths.Create an intention. It is important to realise that positive visualisation contributes to your success. We create our own realities through our thoughts and intentions, so clarify them by writing them out and focusing on your goals. Remember that you can change aspects of your life to manage the areas in need for improvement, and live a better life only if you stay true to who you are. Give yourself the same treatment that you give to other people you care about, and allow yourself to honour your values. Listen to your heart and mind when it comes to deciding what you need to do. We can’t expect others to validate us all the time. We need to learn to note any areas for improvement in our lives, listen to our own desires, and to trust our own opinions. When we trust someone else to show us the right path in life, we are not taking responsibility for our own actions. Being able to follow our instincts and make better choices allow us to connect to our inner thoughts and feelings, and put our plans into action.

I do agree that it is easier to make changes in our lives when we have a support system, but you have the power to change your life for the better even if you can’t find a friend or loved one who is interested in making the same changes. You are able to encourage yourself to stick to your plans, and find motivation within yourself. Commit yourself to reduce everyday stress by developing an interest in at least one hobby, and then try to pursue it on a regular basis. Incorporating something you love into your daily routine is a great way to increase your overall happiness. Finding a new passion can help you feel like you have more of a purpose in life, and can give you a reason to wake up in the morning. A passion can be anything you care deeply about, even if it is not something you are good at yet. Remember that once you understand what causes you stress, you can decide how to react to it. Pay attention to stress triggers by staying away from certain people and avoid overcommitting yourself too. In order to improve your life you need to take account of your present relationships, stress level, self-esteem, and life outlook. If you focus your attention on negative aspects of your life, such as: an undesirable environment, an unrewarding career, toxic relationships, financial problems, etc., you tend to attract negative energy and unnecessary drama to your life, because you are not building your life around something that really matters. Be aware of your thoughts, and acknowledge the good in your existence in order to fix what you want to change, because if you focus on what you don’t have, you will be more unhappy and attract bad energy into your life. There is a positive aspect to things that happen, even those that feel negative. Try to view your own life in a different light and you may find your attitude turn around.

Lack of emotional wellness can drain your energy and happiness, and being emotionally healthy makes you feel more resilient and supported. Be organised and plan your week and the activities you need to do in order to improve your lifestyle. Start your positive life plan today. Draw up a schedule for each day at the start of your week. Don’t let yourself believe that you don’t have time to live a healthy lifestyle, you can always find time for something this important. Remember that when you start appreciating your own values and focusing on looking for a bigger purpose, you are able to find satisfaction where you didn’t even expect. Put your ego aside, because your ego will never let you exercise control over your instincts and passions. Positive thinking can give you motivation to cope with anything! Don’t lose sight of your higher purpose, and don’t let your fears prevent you from living your dreams.
